How we work — and why you can trust the numbers
Six things that make this resource different from the typical BTC-lending listicle.
Why This Exists
The Bitcoin capital structure market is full of vendor pages, shallow listicles, and SEO roundups. None of them are honest, structural, and verifiable at the same time. This is the resource you'd send a sophisticated Bitcoiner who asked you to explain it.
Scope
Centralized BTC-only lending platforms. Bitcoin-backed mortgages. Honest hedge analysis. Multi-asset crypto lenders, DeFi (Sovryn Zero, flash loans), and institutional undercollateralized credit (Maple, TrueFi) are deliberately out of scope — they'd dilute the Bitcoin focus.
How We Verify
Every numeric claim links to a source URL and has a lastVerified timestamp. Provider data is tracked in providers.json; every verification event is logged in verification-log.json. Quarterly re-verification minimum, event-triggered ad-hoc.
Disclosures
BSA's founder Dalia advises at The Bitcoin Adviser (TBA), parent of Loan My Coins (LMC). LMC is covered alongside independent competitors, evaluated against the same structural framework. The hedge analysis deliberately corrects misconceptions that benefit all lenders — including LMC — to clarify.
Maintenance Cadence
Quarterly verification on every provider's terms. Event-triggered updates for provider failures, regulatory changes, or major new entrants. Annual structural refresh of each deep dive. Verification log reviewed for stale source URLs.
Contribute & Correct
Found an error or have a suggestion? Email thesovereign.academy@proton.me with the specific claim and a verifiable source. Corrections are logged with attribution and dated. Substantive contributions credited in the deep dive.
